Metropolitan Avenue in the 1890'sThis photo shows 118th Street going north to Metropolitan Avenue in Richmond Hill, now Kew Gardens, NY during the 1890's. Note the very stately home that was once located off the corner. For those not familiar, 118th Street does not go straight across Metropolitan Avenue going north, but bends slightly to the left which is evident in this photo.
